The Eye and Laser Center is proud to announce that it is using the iTrack Surgical System to provide two new treatment options for Glaucoma.
Based on the same principles as angioplasty, the iTrack™ surgical system enlarges your eye’s natural drainage system, improving outflow and lowering intraocular pressure. Featuring an illuminated, patented tip, the iTrack™ microcatheter can be continuously monitored once it is inserted into Schlemm’s canal.
Dr. Mahanti uses the iTrack™ surgical system is used to perform ABiC™ and Canaloplasty. More information about each procedure can be found below:
ABiC™
ABiC™ is based on the same principles as angioplasty. It uses microcatheter technology, provided by the iTrack Surgical System, to enlarge your eye’s natural drainage system, improving outflow and lowering intraocular pressure.
Canaloplasty
Canaloplasty is an advanced surgical treatment for glaucoma. It uses breakthrough microcatheter technology to enlarge your eye’s natural drainage system, similar to angioplasty. Canaloplasty is a restorative treatment.
